Roman Carnelian Portrait Intaglio Ring in 18k Gold

I acquired three Roman intaglios, each simply set in a high carat gold bezel setting with a slightly domed back. I debated over what to do with the old beauties and decided that they should become rings. I left the settings as found and had our talented in house goldsmith add handcrafted bands. I chose classic styles in 18k yellow gold. This intaglio depicts a left facing profile of a robust gentleman wearing a cap, there is an interesting symbol carved to the right of the image. The shoulder of the double band splits to a V where it attaches to the bezel set intaglio.

We use recycled refined gold from a certified green refinery in all of our work. Recycle, Reuse, Relove.

Details.....Currently a size 7. The ring may be sized up or down two sizes free of charge. Please contact us if you need this ring sized more than two sizes, it may be possible and will have a small fee. The top of this ring measures .75" x .63". The band measures 2.9mm wide.
